partnered with Velocity of Books to establish a summer reading program. Velocity of Books, is a community service project sponsored by Real Estate and Sale, LLC. The goal of the program is to promote literacy among students by:
- Providing free books of interest
- Free tutoring services
- Individualized literacy plan for each student, which is developed to promote fluency, comprehension and retention
Carolyn Thompson, the founder of Velocity Books and owner of Real Estate Search and Sale, LLC is a former adult ESOL teacher, Junior Great Books Instructor, Certified Laubach Instructor, Certified Mentor, home school teacher and mother of children who’ve successfully attended magnet and AP classes.
